This project aimed to increase organic search visibility, enhance keyword rankings, and drive more qualified traffic for ColourPop’s e-commerce site. Our goal was to position ColourPop as a top destination for trendy, affordable cosmetics, while improving site authority, usability, and conversion from organic search channels.
The cosmetics industry is dominated by long-established brands, making it difficult for ColourPop to rank for high-volume makeup and skincare keywords against strong competitors.
With a wide range of product collections, shades, and collaborations, many product pages targeted similar keywords — creating risks of keyword cannibalization and diluted ranking strength.
Frequent product drops and limited-edition releases struggled to gain immediate SEO traction, resulting in lower visibility for new collections during critical demand windows.
While ColourPop receives massive traffic from social platforms, organic search needed strengthening to balance channel performance and improve long-term brand discovery.
Our SEO strategy significantly improved ColourPop’s search visibility, organic traffic, and revenue from search channels. By optimizing product pages, strengthening keyword architecture, and expanding high-intent content, ColourPop experienced a strong lift in rankings across competitive beauty terms. Organic sessions increased steadily, with noticeable growth in non-branded traffic and new-user acquisition. Limited-edition collections began ranking faster, reducing dependency on paid and social media spikes. As a result, organic search became a stronger revenue-driving channel, supporting long-term brand growth and customer acquisition.
